6 Delicious Snacks For Shiny Hair

We all get too busy to eat healthy sometimes, and we give in to the temptation to snack on junks. They are delicious and packed full of sugars. Sugars that we think we need, but we do not.

When we eat, we eat for our bodies, our skin, and our hair, so when we snack, we should be conscious of our hair too.

During your busy day and you are tempted to reach for a quick snack, here are some snacks that are not only great for you but also amazing for your hair.

Pumpkin seeds: A handful of these seeds is packed with fatty acids, zinc, and vitamins. They help to prevent breakage and split-ends. As a bonus, snacking on pumpkin seeds helps keeps hunger at bay.

Boiled eggs: Do you know that one hard-boiled egg can keep you energized? Not only that, but your hair gets to benefit from it too. One boiled egg contains 8 MPG of biotin and 6 grams of protein. Biotin is essential to the hair because it helps to increase elasticity and minimize dryness, which prevents breakage. It also helps to promote growth.

Coconut oil tea: Coconut oil is good for just about anything. A few drops of the healthy oil in your tea adds some much-needed fats to your daily tea. Coconut oil is rich in healthy fats, vitamins K and E, and it makes an excellent mask for your hair. When consumed, it lubricates the hair from inside out.

Banana and almonds: This combination is a delight, especially since most of us are familiar with this snack from our childhoods. Almond butter is busting full with healthy fats and vitamins that feed your hair follicles, making them healthy. It also contains vitamin E, which helps with increasing the natural shine of the hair. Banana, on its part, brings potassium and silica to the mix. These are both great for healthy tresses.

Raw nuts: Raw Nuts like walnuts and almond nuts are full of Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, so if you are nut for nuts, you are in luck. A handful of these nuts will not only keep you going but will also make your hair shiny and healthy.

Avocado toast: Add a poached egg to the rich fruit on top a gluten-free bread and voila! You have a healthy snack. Avocado, on its part, is rich in vitamin E and alpha-tocopherol. Alpha-tocopherol is the antioxidant that protects your hair free radicals. Free radicals are the enemies of moisturized, growing hair. They cause breakage and dryness. Adding eggs to avocado toast brings in the protein and biotin busts.

Bonus tip: Vitamin C rich fruits. Not only will these help your sweet cravings, but they also do wonders for your hair and skin. A glass of a fruit-packed smoothie will leave your skin glowing and your hair shinning. Now imagine having a glass of fruit-packed smoothie every day.
